This car has been the subject of a complete ground up nut and bolt restoration to the most exacting standards that took close to five years to complete. Car was restored starting in the late 1980”¦s through 1993. It has all of its tools, a jack, and driver”¦s handbook. Upon completion the vehicle went on to win first in class in 1996 at the AMOC Concours d”¦ Elegance at Beaulieu. This was followed up by a first in the elite class at Silverstone in 1997 and another elite class win at Cornbury Park at the 1997 Autumn Concours d”¦ Elegance.
The Mk III was also the first Aston Martin production car with front disc brakes as standard issue. The standard 3.0 liter straight 6 DBA engine produced a claimed 162 bhp, there were two variations available with upward to 200 bhp. The vehicle has never seen a wet road since the restoration was complete. With its stainless steel exhaust, Boranni wire wheels, coupled with its beautiful green exterior color and grey leather upholstery it is with out a doubt, the finest DB Mk III fixed head coupe around.
